Make Money in Advertising Without An advertising Business

Article by Anthony Chambers

If you get regular visitors to your website, you have one commodity that can actually help you make money all the time. If you have a list of subscribers to your free electronic newsletter, you have a valuable asset that can turn a profit time and time again.

Any of the above will qualify you to sell advertising because you have access to readers. Yet you may not see yourself as owning an advertising business.

Let us take your local newspaper as an example of how advertising works. Now, a newspaper owner hires writers, editors, reports, and printing experts to produce his newspapers every day. Next he hires the best distribution experts to ensure that the paper gets distributed to the vendors who sell them every day to consumers.

Now, if you think about it, you will recognize very quickly that in order to make money from newspapers, the owners must have other sources of income than the paltry sum they collect from the actual newspaper sales. That’s hardly enough money to cover all of his expenses. To make money he has to sell advertising space in his newspaper!

You see this all the time. You open up a newspaper and there they are; pages and pages of advertisements, both large and small. That is where the newspaper owner makes money. Now consider for a minute how you can duplicate his business model in a virtual way.

The only reason why the newspaper guy is able to sell advertising is because he has a ready readership. He has people who read his newspaper consistently. Using that valuable resource, he is then able to convince his advertisers to pay him top dollar for advertising in his daily newspaper.

When you create a website that consistently draws in new and repeat visitors, you are creating a valuable resource called “advertising space”. Pretty soon, you can begin to sell space on your website, in the form of text links or banner advertisements, and make money in the process. It then becomes a “no-brainer”, in terms of actually creating wealth from your online virtual real estate.

The same thing happens when you have a list of people who consistently read your electronic newsletters. If you have between 1000 and 5000 persons on your list, you can begin to sell advertisements to other advertisers who like to sell products or services to y-o-u-r readers.

So there you have it. You can make money on the Internet quite easily by building your websites, blogs, and newsletter list. As soon as you have a fair sized list, go ahead and start monetizing your asset.

Article by Wahyu Tan

When you decide to use the internet as your marketplace, you are opening yourself up to nearly endless possibilities to achieve business success through harnessing the power of the internet. Discover online marketing advertising business solutions that can help get the word out about how valuable your products or services can be to potential clients or customers. Rather than struggling through working on every step of the traditional marketing process on your own, you can instead take advantage of valuable programs and services that can automate steps and help to keep you on the right track to success. First, you will need to identify the subset of the market that you want to reach. Next, you need to determine how best to differentiate your business to gain their patronage. And finally, you can choose the best online marketing solutions to advance your goals.

Not any people have products and services that will appeal to every sector of the marketplace. Instead, it is far more likely that your products and services will only appeal to a fraction of that marketplace. Why waste your time and efforts and advertising dollars on people who will never be interested in your services? Instead, there are two distinct groups in any market to which your products or services your business belongs that you should target. The first is people who are most likely to need or want the products or services that you offer. The second are one level farther out and are those who may benefit but are not yet convinced of their need for what you offer. You should work up a profile of both of these groups in order to most effectively reach out to them with your internet online marketing advertising business solutions.

Next, you will need to figure out how you can make your business stand out from the competition. If a dozen different businesses offer the exact same service, why should your offerings stand out from your competitors? If you can not figure out any ways, they may not yet exist. If this is the case, you will need to do work to determine what you can add on to your products and services offerings in order to make them appeal to your identified audiences. Perhaps you can offer free shipping, or a free gift with purchase. For services, consider offering an introductory rate, or periodic bonuses. Any way that can make your product more valuable will net you more clients.

Finally, you can look at what online tools you can use to get the word out about your differentiated products and services to the two layers of identified target audience members. For advertisements, take the guesswork out of when they will display and to whom. Instead, use keyword based services so that your ad only displays to relevant individuals. You can also look at ways to send mass emails, updates or newsletters on a periodic basis to keep your potential clients up to date on how you can best serve their needs. When you discover internet online marketing advertising business solutions, you will be able to utilize methods to maximize your profit potential and maintain loyal clients.

The Etiquette Of Advertising Business Gifts

advertising business

Article by Gareth Parkin

Giving gifts to your customers is a long-established way of advertising your business while showing your appreciation for their trade. Advertising business gifts run the range from imprinted key rings and rulers to expensive leather portfolios and laptop cases. Both inexpensive and exclusive executive gifts have their proper place, and choosing the right advertising business gift can leave the gift recipient feeling warm and receptive about your company.

There are some rules of thumb to keep in mind when choosing your advertising business gifts. One of the more important is the 80/20 rule – 80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers. That 20% should get special handling when it comes to gift-giving time, and there are many opportunities for giving gifts that show your appreciation of their trade. Among the occasions you might send a gift to your customers are:

- Holidays- New Business Openings- Acknowledgement of a Special Award- Executive birthdays

In addition to occasions, there are a number of considerations to take into account when choosing executive level advertising business gifts.

How much should you spend? The decision of how much to spend on a corporate business gift can be a tricky one. In some industries, personal gifts to executives or employees are frowned upon entirely, and in others, ethics dictate that the cost should be minimal. You know your industry the best, so your judgment is the best barometer for deciding on appropriate cost. Of course, your budget for advertising business gifts will also play a part. In general, special occasion gifts should have a high perceived value.

Gift the Executive or the Company?Choosing a personal gift for the CEO, sales manager or other employee with whom you have a business relationship is one popular way of doing things – but many businesses find ways to show appreciation to the entire office. Gift baskets of gourmet goodies, candies or fruit trays are always appreciated by office staff, and offer an excellent opportunity to include a customized imprinted gift that will be used in the office year round. You might send a gourmet “coffee break” basket, for instance, that includes one or two pounds of gourmet coffee, a tin of specialty biscuits, and half a dozen promotional mugs imprinted with your company logo.

To Logo or Not to Logo? When sending out promotional gifts, the question of whether to include your logo is a moot one – the purpose is to increase your business exposure. When the gift is an executive level special occasion gift, though, your best judgment is your best guide. If your gift is something that will be used every day – a leather portfolio, for instance – you can have your business name or logo discreetly embossed. In general, though, the more expensive the gift, the more likely it is that the recipient will remember your company without the name. In short, keep the logos and imprints for the cheaper giveaways and let more valuable gifts speak for themselves.
